Frida Immersive Exhibit layout for Sketches in Thyme

Welcome to the next installation of my Chicago 2022 scrapbook. I scrapped this page per the latest Sketches in Thyme Facebook Group sketch.  We have four sketches per month and this is the fourth.  I am using the same K & Co papers I have had on my desk for a couple of months.  I purchased them second hand so I don't have the name of the stack but they are so pretty! I just love the bright color combination.

Here is the sketch.

I used both pink and orange letters to create the title.

I printed these two photos small to accommodate the sketch. I cut several circles out of different scraps and since I they are doubled sided papers I had lots of choices.

Ingredients:
K & Co papers
Creative Memories sticker letters and circle cutter
foil washi tape
gems and flair

Stampin Up Plus card trio for Atlantic Hearts Challenge

Welcome today.  I got a bit carried away with this week's Atlantic Heart Challenge sketch.  I created a trio of cards using a lot of Stampin Up products along with lots of other products. I began by spraying several backgrounds with various shimmer and ink sprays.  I then searched my stash for scraps to satisfy the assorted strips.  I began leaning into monochromatic but my final card branch out a bit using a 6x6 paper collection.

My first card uses spray ink and scraps from my purple papers.  I stamped in the sentiment in Stampin Up Concord Grape. The sentiment is from Stampin Up sentiment set. I used the second part inside.  I finished off the card with gems.

Here is this week's sketch.  A really great design for using scraps and getting inky!

I went pink with this card.  I utilized a left over sentiment from my last Atlantic Hearts Challenge inspiration.  I pulled the blue from some accents in the printed paper otherwise I stayed pink!

Frida Exhibit layout for Sketches in Thyme

Welcome to my blog today.  I am scrapping for Sketches in Thyme Facebook Group.  I began a new project for 2025, I am scrapping a trip to Chicago from 2022.  I just acquired this K & Co paper stack at Indigo Hippo and they were right by my desk because they had not been filed away.  I immediately recognized how they would compliment my Frida Exhibit photos from this trip.  I also used them on my last Frida layout last month.  On this layout, I found some different embellies, but these pieces were hanging out on my desk.

Here's the sketch.

I also acquired this ephemera pack at  Indigo Hippo as well.  There's always a nice surprise at that store.  I used the moon as the centerpiece of this cluster.  I added die cuts and fiber.

I inked up the chipboard pieces with a variety of Distress inks.

I used Cheery Lynn dies and inked up them up with Distress inks.

Ingredients:
K & Co papers
Cheery Lynn Designs Mehndi Botanical Stem dies
Distress inks:  Wild Honey, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Saltwater Taffy, Worn Lipstick, and Spiced Marmalade

Hip Kit Club Flourishes by Kim & Kimberly ephemera

Stampin Up Be My Valentine for Atlantic Hearts challenge

Welcome to my blog today.  It's that time!  Time for an Atlantic Hearts Challenge inspiration card.  I began this card with some pretty papers I purchased second hand. The 12x12 papers were cut into 6x6 samples.  You would never know this was cat themed paper (Doodlebug Design Pretty Kitty Collection 12 x 12 Paper Pack) if I didn't tell you.  These papers made for a pretty sweet Valentine's card though, didn't they?

Here is the sketch I used from Atlantic Hearts Challenge.

I fussy cut the hearts from a sheet of paper.  I shadowed the heart at the top.  I love how it turned out.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up PS I Love You sentiment stamp
Stampin Up Rose Red ink
sequins

Elizabeth Craft Designs Mushrooms and Tree Stumps Sending Hugs for Atlantic Hearts Challenge

Welcome to this week's card for Atlantic Hearts Challenge.  I love to paper piece die cuts and I love mushrooms, I am not sure if I have used this set before, however, this paper just screamed to be mushroom caps...so a card is born.

Here is this week's sketch from Atlantic Hearts Challenge.

A close up of my sentiment also cut from the patterned paper.

Here is a close up of my cluster.  I cut some of the foliage in white and inked up with coordinating Distress inks. I can't remember exactly which colors I used.  Sorry, I try to begin my post when I create as not to forget the product I used. It obviously did not work out this time.

Frida Exhibit layout for Sketches in Thyme

Welcome to my first layout of 2025 for Sketches in Thyme Facebook Group.  I am beginning a new project for 2025, I am scrapping a trip to Chicago from 2022.  I like it when I can complete a layout without having to dig in my stash. Don't get me wrong, when I want a specific item I will dig.  My stash is organized but massive hence where "dig" comes into play.  Anyway, I just acquired this K & Co paper stack at Indigo Hippo and they were right by my desk because they had not been filed away.  I immediately recognized how they would compliment my Frida Exhibit photos from this trip.

All the embellies were handy too, I only had to "dig" for the purple iridescent letters.  I have all my alphas organized in hanging file folder by color, only I had to move some boxes that were in front of the file cabinet.  I have my neutral letters in a closer file cabinet that is right by my desk, but the colors spilled into another cabinet.  I have my desktops sitting on short file cabinets.  I have two desktops running continuously along the wall. So four file cabinets. The two under the desk I use are filled with 8.5x11 cardstock and the two under the other desk are letters.

Here is the sketch I am using.  You can find it and others on the Facebook group.

I have had these letters in my stash for many years, I love when I get a chance to use them.

I die cut several pieces of foliage and leaves in green, paper remaining from the sheet which I cut the corners.  I had some of these puffy stickers laying around my desk.  It was a multiple color set and I used all the oranges, yellows and some purples for another recent project.  I used the greens and the remaining purples here.  I only have some blues left.  I love to use up my stash!

I fussy cut sections from a coordinating sheet of paper in the stack the green corners.  It's hard to capture in the photo, but there is a neat metallic purple sheen to the dots.  I had this stamped Frida image in my stash from years ago.  I cannot tell you what I used to color it.

Ingredients:
K & Co papers
Frida stamp
puffy stickers and misc embellies
