Quick Quotes Inky Inspirations: State of Mine

Good morning from Ohio!  Alicia with you today illustrating  Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalking inks with a stencil.  Stencils have always been an important tool in crafting but with new and fresh designs coming out regularly they have regained popularity.  When I picked up this great stencil, my mind was racing with possibilities!  The image would not fit on an A2 card so I created my own card bases of various sizes.

To create this image
  • First tape down your stencil with some washi tape.  Tape out your state of choice as well.
  • Ink your stencil with your color choice, mine was Blue Jeans PowderPuff Chalking Ink
  • Reverse your taped out state.  Uncover and washi tape around be sure you have enough coverage for inking your state without transferring unwanted color on the other states.
  • Ink your choice state with color of choice, mine was Red Hot PowderPuff Chalking Ink
  • Remove stencil

Ohio is not my home state.  Which meant I had to make a Georgia map as well.  I also made a Texas version for a friend in Texas.  I added some ribbon and red bling/stickers to the image to give it a pop!
