The Paper Loft Island Sun card with charm

Today, I have for you a summer memory that is soon fading as the weather gets cooler.  I have had these K&Co sea shell stickers for a while and I thought they would look great with the Paper Loft Island Sun paper collection.  I found some "seaside" charms and added the seahorse on some beachy looking fibers.  I also stamped a little rope in between the sticker and sentiment.  I think the card stock may be Stampin Up, I found it in with some scraps so I am not sure.

Queen & Co Puppy Cards

I know everyone says this but I have the BEST dog!  Webster is really, I mean really the best dog I have ever had!  He will sit just the dog above and wait for you to be finished and see if he gets any scraps.  He doesn't care for my scraps too much since I am vegetarian, I don't have any bacon like the rest of my family...

I love these cute paper pieces from Queen & Co Pet Collection.  I bought several pieces at the Great Lakes Mega Meet in May.

I also purchased this doggie embossing folder at Mega Meet.  Do you think I was missing Webster?  I still have not found a good grass die cut, so I used some negative pieces to create the grass landscape.

So, grab yourself a Latte', sit back and hop along with us as we share our projects with you.

Now for my Autumn project...I have been working on this for quite a while, I just haven't been too inspired for a couple of weeks, then I saw this video on Tim Holtz's blog.  I started by painting glossy card stock with Judikin's Mica gloss then embossing the leaf image with Judikin's clear powder.  I must say I made over a dozen backgrounds with Judikins' Mica Gloss.  Half were these wonderful fall colors and half are a wintery purpley blue.  When I tried distressing my embossed image with white paint like the video, I did not like the result, so the one I used for my card, I covered in Ranger black paint and wiped off.  I really liked this background and didn't want to cover it too much so I used the negative of a Stampin Up Sizzix Top Note die for a frame.  I took one sheet of the background paper I made and punched several leaves and punched the same leaves from some various card stock.  I used my Spellbinders Jewel Alpha for the first time to cut FALL, I just thought this font was a great size and a little fancy, cut from Creative Memories orange shimmer paper.  I still wanted a bit "more" to this card so I mounted it on a yellow base with some extra room for four orange and fall colored warm and fuzzy fibers.

Close up of the background.

Another angle.  The leaf stamp is a background size stamp from Inkadinkado.

Kiwi Lane & Bella Blvd Max Collection "Shark Attack!"

Good Morning!  Alicia here for Kiwi Lane today.  I have made a two page layout with the awesome Bella Blvd Max Collection.  I have used the Shark Attack papers and Treasures and Text stickers.  I love the contrast of the bright orange with the blues of the Shark Attack paper.

I added some navy, light blue, white and orange card stock to the mix along with some orange mesh to texturize my layout a bit without being bulky.

I have had these shark brads for years and finally the perfect page for them!

I used several Clara Lane templates for my waves and the Adventure set's stars.

I did my journaling on the light blue paper of the wave.

Ingredients:
Kiwi Lane templates: Clara Lane 1B, 2A, 3A, 3B
Rings 1 & 2

Bella Blvd Max Collection: Shark Attack, Borders, Treasures & Text stickers

TPC Navy weave card stock
light blue and white misc card stock

Kiwi Lane & Bella Blvd "That's My Boy"

Hi!
Alicia with you today for Kiwi Lane.  I have for you a single page layout using Bella Blvd's Max Collections paper That's My Boy, Borders, Treasures & Text stickers with some die cut pieces from that collection.  I thought these papers went great with my black and white photos of my son.  Well, I should give credit where due, my sister took these awesome pictures, my son doesn't stand still for me anymore.  We were ALL, I mean ALL (dad, sister and hubby, nieces, and my boys~almost everyone except my brother and his wife) were at a beach house in Ocean Isle, North Carolina.  The kids outnumbered the adults!  It was quite a trip and I treasure these pictures of my teenager.

I used very little else besides the Bella Blvd Max collection.  I added some red cardstock and that was it! I used one sheet for the background and cut one sheet of the paper using my Kiwi Lane templates.  The black and white camo is the flip side of the That's My Boy paper.  I also cut out some of the words and put them on pop dots as embellishments.

If you didn't notice, I did not fill out the "5 things" yet.  I put the "wild at heart" sticker on #5 but I am still thinking about what the first four should be in made for a great discussion with my husband over breakfast.

Ingredients:
Kiwi Lane templates:  Clara Lane 2B, Rings 2, Adventure 1
Bella Blvd Max Collection:  That's my boy and border papers, Treasures and text stickers, and die cuts
Creative Memories star punch
QQ Midnight Confessions Powder Puff chalk
Red card stock

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

I just went crazy with all my little wood farm animals!  I found them at Tuesday Morning over the summer and when I found out about Connie's hop, I just knew they were perfect!  Well, I did paint and spritz them several times.

I layered some Graphic 45 die cut flowers with pop dots for the topper.

The sides of the Prima tin was clear (it originally held flowers).  The flip side of the dots are the weathervane paper.  I love that you can see them on the inside.  I also lined the bottom inside and outside with the flip side of the honey bee paper.

The lid was scalloped and I added pearls to all the "holes" in the scallop.

I made a matching card.

Then I made another card with mostly the same pieces but flipped the paper and brought out some different colors with the teal card stock.  This chicken is only chalked with brown and not painted and spritzed.

Ingredients:
Studio Calico wood veneer farm animals
W R Country Livin Honey bee & Weathervane papers
Tattered Angels Creme de Chocolat
Ditto teal spritz
Ranger Butterscotch spray
Prima flower tin
Creative Memories custom cutting system
Graphic 45 French Country Flowers
QQ Java & WR brown chalk

SU Summer Starfruit ribbon
SU card stock

Drew's Camo Gift Bag

Welcome readers!

Last Saturday, I whipped up a bag for a gift for a young man who just graduated from Marine boot camp. We purchased him a tee shirt, it could have been pretty drab...a tee shirt in a brown sack...but I dressed it up a bit with my Cricut!

I like how the tags look like "dog tags".

I wasn't completely happy with the banner but it worked.  I had to cut it small enough to fit across the 8" bag.  The font in the banner is so thin it tore some paper...but I backed it with black to make the letters pop and repaired what I could.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Total Sports cart Font 2 & banner monogram
CM tag punch
Stampin Up Tag punch
SU Merry everything stamp
GCD Great Outdoors Adventure paper (camo)
American Craft black ink, twine
QQ Midnight Confession powder puff chalk
black card stock

Freshly Picked Mushroom cards

I love matching items!  My favorite are matching stamps and dies but this is a matching Cricut cart and embossing folder set: Freshly Picked.  I just love these mushrooms!  I made the leaves from the same paper as the understide of the mushrooms, the paper is really old Creative Memories printed papers.  I used a Kiwi Lane template to make the leaves.

I used glitter on the embossed paper to add a little pizzaz and match the glittered spots on the red mushroom (I used glitter paper there).  I used purple bling for the smaller mushroom's spots.  I also gave the entire card (except the mushrooms) a generous spray of Smooch Vanilla!  I wanted to continue with distressing with frosty white like the glitter.

I made two different cards.

Close up of vanilla smooch!

I think they turned out adorable!  Thanks for stopping by today!
